With Christmas just around the corner and all the classy work and family events, I thought you might be in need of some comic relief or inspiration for a different kind of holiday party. This past weekend, Mat and I hosted an “Ugly Christmas Sweater Party” with our friends. The concept is pretty self explanatory: you ask your guests to wear the ugliest reindeer, Santa or Christmas tree adorned sweater they can find or – even better – make. The result is quite hilarious and provides for a great conversation starter.
You might even want to have your guest vote for the best (or is it worst?) getup. Guess who took home the coveted Cup of Ugly? You got it! Yours truly, without a doubt thanks to the doily around my neck. I actually tied with Mr. “Pimpin Ain’t Easy”.

My co-winner, Mr. "Pimpin Ain't Easy" and I. Please note the scrunchy on my head and doily around my neck.
This was hands down the best party I’ve ever thrown and I’m pretty sure the sweaters (on or off…) had a lot to do with it. A HUGE thanks goes out to everyone there who made it an extra special night. To many more!

Love love it! I had so much fun shopping with my bff for your party! You all look awesome!
Thanks! We had an amazing time. Your BFF’s outfit was amazing. Great job.
OMG that is too funny! Where did you get the sweater and did you attach the doily collar as an extra?!!!
I know eh? We had such a blast. We were laughing from beginning to end. Got the sweater online at a site called “ugly sweater store”. The moment I saw the collar, I knew it was a winner. It was sewn onto the shirt. Someone actually designed it that way! Lol!
hahaha – hilarious…. – lovely to see you getting so fugly…
I could post some “Ugly Christmas Sweater” pictures myself, but that would probably make everybody explode..!!!
hahaha again… – thanks for the chuckles…
Stay safe, stay strong, stay happy, Jess…..
